What exactly is a book nook?

A miniature lit scene that slots in between the books on your shelf like a bookend — from across the room it reads as one more spine, up close it opens into a tiny glowing world. Every Nookarium nook has warm LED lighting built in — battery-powered, on at a touch — so the windows and lanterns genuinely glow when the room lights go down.

Do I have to build it?

Yes — every nook arrives as a wooden kit with an illustrated English manual, and honestly, that's half the gift. The Moss Garden Veranda takes about 2–3 hours; give the others a cozy evening or two. Built together in December, it turns into a little tradition.

Will it fit my bookshelf?

Our nooks are designed to slot between books on a standard bookshelf, standing roughly as tall as your books do (each product page lists its height). If your shelves are unusually short, email us the shelf height before ordering and we'll confirm the fit.

How long does shipping take?

Every nook is made to glow and ships tracked, from our studio partners — we pack in 1–3 business days, then delivery takes 10–20 days. Standard shipping is free, or go Express for $20.00 CAD to jump the queue. Full details on the shipping page.

Will it arrive before Christmas?

Friday December 25 is the deadline, and we would rather lose the sale than post you a gift in January. Order by Wednesday December 2 on standard shipping, or Thursday December 10 on Express. After that we can't promise it lands in time, and we'll say so rather than let you find out the hard way.

Where's my order?

Your tracking number is in the shipping confirmation email — drop it into Track Order. No email after 3 business days? Check spam, then write us.

What if a piece is missing or broken?

Email us a photo and we replace it free — no return, no forms. You're never on your own mid-build.

What if it isn't what I hoped?

30-day returns, free replacement if we messed up. The whole policy is on the returns page and it's genuinely short.

Is checkout secure?

Yes — payment happens on Shopify's checkout, the same infrastructure behind millions of stores. We never see or store your card number.

Do you actually answer emails?

A human reads hello@nookarium.com every day and replies within 24 hours. Try us.
